Dr. Alan Freitag, APR, PRSA Fellow, retired from the U.S Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel after 22 ½ years of service, working primarily in Public Affairs with postings in Europe and Hawaii as well as the Pentagon.   His essays have been published in such journals as Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly, Journal of Public Relations Research, Public Relations Quarterly and the Journal of Communication Management.   Subjects for his work have included public relations in Latin America, international press coverage of U.S. corporate crises, and studies of international public relations education in the U.S.   He is frequently interviewed by the media because of his scholarly and professional experience with NATO, defense issues, crisis management and international public relations.
