The greater Charlotte area is considered to be both the economic and cultural center of North and South Carolina. Students will find that the Charlotte area is thriving with excellent schools to choose from. Colleges in and near Charlotte offer a wide variety of areas to study. Charlotte is a welcoming city that provides numerous job opportunities for students of all disciplines upon graduation.
In celebrating the 20th anniversary of Baoding, China and Charlotte, North Carolina as sister cities, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte has partnered with the Sister Cities Program in creating a class that honors this international relationship. The class is a Public Relations Practicum. The class has of four international public relations students, two information technology students and a Sister Cities Board member as the instructor. The class worked from August 2007 to December 2007 in building this website as a gift to Baoding. This website was established to show Baoding the city through the eyes of Charlotte's own citizens.
